of the day. now we take time out to get the latest today's current tv from lisa ferguson in los angeles. >> good morning, everyone. less than two weeks left to go and president obama and mitt romney are prepping for their final debate tonight. tonight will be the final side by side comparison of the two candidates before the november vote, but if that doesn't settle the score for you, "politico" has six questions that will decide this year's election. number 1 has to do with romney's performance during the first presidential debate. he came out stronger than expected and the question is that enough to take votes away from the government. they also say what the heck is going on with all of these polls. what is more important is the electoral college vote and president obama does have the lead there. even though romney is closing in here in the states, president obama is still widely favored abroad. foreign views show the race as far from even. one survey showed 75% of europeans favor obama, 8% lean towards romney and many international leaders are unprepared for a

as always from lisa ferguson out in los angeles. hi lisa, good morning. >> hey bill, welcome back. it is a good day to be back. good morning everyone. with the first debate under their belts the candidates are back on the campaign trail today. president obama starts out where he left off in denver then he heads to madison wisconsin. joe biden is in iowa and mitt romney is in virginia. but who wants to talk about all of that when what you really want to talk about is the debates. a lot of claims thrown around last night. we're going to do some fact checking for you this morning. but first let's start out with a bit of a recap. of the debate was moderated by mitt romney. oh wait, we mean jim lehrer who i think it is safe to say did worse than expected. the president did not perform up to his usual standards and mitt romney came out swinging taking a very offensive approach against the president as well as jim lehrer, big barned the entire pbs crew. the debate focus around the economy as we knew it would and the can

in los angeles. hi lisa, good morning. >> hey bill. good morning everyone. if you are asking yourself who won last night's presidential debate you probably weren't watching. president obama came out with a strong and aggressive performance against mitt romney on foreign policy. the first instant poll from cbs shows 53% of undecided voters say president obama came out on top, just 23% say toward romney. but there are some differing opinions out there. according to cnn poll, only 40% of viewers say romney won but 60% say he is ready to handle the responsibilities of president. and 32% of independents say they are now more likely to vote for romney after last night's performance. that is surprising since by most accounts president obama effectively painted romney as untested reckless and inconsistent when it comes to foreign policy. he also mocked romney's knowledge of the military with the most popular zinger of the night. when romney complained that the navy has its smallest fleet in nearly 100 years, here is t
